The Irish Institute for Chinese Studies at UCD offers degree programmes in collaboration with the UCD Sutherland School of Law.
The Law & Chinese Studies allows you to:
•undertake a degree in Irish law, whilst simultaneously acquiring a broad knowledge of Chinese law and a very high level of competence in Mandarin and Chinese legal terminology
•gain comparative insights which inform an enhanced critical perspective on Irish law
•spend your third year at a university in Beijing, China (Renmin University of China or China University of Political Science and Law).
This 4-year Bachelor degree provides students with an in-depth understanding of broad areas of law including Chinese law, as well as an intermediate/advanced level of competence in Modern Standard Chinese (Mandarin). Enrolment for this programme will begin in 2014/2015.
