The 2017-2018 Dublin Children’s Confucius Class welcomed nearly 260 current and new students on September 9, 2017. The new academic year offers 19 classes, including 12 all-Chinese classes and 7 bilingual classes based on students’ Chinese levels; the classes are divided into junior and senior groups based on their ages.
Workbooks are carefully chosen to suit students’ levels and ages, covering listening, speaking, reading and writing skills. Teachers incorporate traditional Chinese culture, arts and crafts in their teaching to create a fun and relaxing learning environment and a high quality teaching experience.
The Dublin Children’s Confucius class is a joint effort between UCD Confucius Institute for Ireland (CII) and Aihua Chinese School. With excellent teaching resources and great results, the first academic year in 2016 received highly positive feedback from parents, leading to the doubled number of students for the 2nd academic year. Since its establishment in 2006, UCD CII has become a professional platform for Chinese teaching and cultural promotion in Ireland. Founded in 2004, Aihua Chinese School prides itself on the rich experience in children’s Chinese teaching. The Dublin Children’s Confucius Class will continue its mission to provide a top quality Chinese learning environment for the children in Dublin.
