In light of the COVID-19 pandemic and official advice of the Irish Government and Health Service Executive, the 2020 "Chinese Bridge" competition in Ireland that was initially scheduled in April 2020 had to be postponed. We are conscious that many of you would like to participate the competition at this time. The 2020 "Chinese Bridge" Irish Sub-contest Area will be held on April 18th 2020 in Dublin, Ireland. It will be hosted by the Confucius Institute Headquarters (Hanban) and organised by the Education Section of the Chinese Embassy in Ireland, the UCD Confucius Institute and the Irish Institute for Chinese Studies at UCD. This competition aims to provide an opportunity for young college students in Ireland to show their tenents and skills in learning Mandarin and to learn from each other. It is also designed to enhance their enthusiasm and interest in learning Mandarin as well as their understanding of traditional Chinese culture. All of you are warmly welcomed to join! Read more

The 2019 Chinese Bridge Competition for Irish college students will be held on 14th April, 2019. The competition offers a platform for university students all over the world to demonstrate their Chinese skills and share their Chinese learning experience with others. The competition is aimed to increase Chinese learners’ enthusiasm to study and understand more about Chinese language and culture. The competition is organized by the Confucius Institute Headquarters(Hanban)and present by the Education Section of the Embassy of The People’s Republic of China in Ireland, the UCD Confucius Institute for Ireland and the Irish Institute for Chinese Studies at UCD.
