Spring Festival Gala February 18th, 2016 This year, 2016, is the Year of the Monkey, and the UCD Confucius Institute for Ireland, in conjunction with the Chinese Embassy will be hosting a Spring Festival Gala in the Convention Centre Dublin on February 18th. Please join us for the celebration from 7:00pm to 9:30pm. The Spring Festival Gala, to celebrate the Chinese New Year, has become a popular annual event and a showcase for cultural diversity, which provides us with an opportunity to demonstrate traditional Chinese culture as well as to celebrate the Chinese New Year with both Irish and Chinese. We are delighted to present this event with special guest appearance by China National Opera and Dance Drama Theatre Opera Troupe whilst the students from UCD Confucius Institute will also perform in the Gala. Furthermore, the acoustics in the Convention Centre should enhance this special performance. Admission is free.
